Veronica Stevenson is founder and CEO of Humble Bee, a protective biopolymer company which draws on her business and science backgrounds. She also founded Spindle Fibre Films, a specialist science and technology production company based in Wellington.
Veronica studied anatomy and reproductive biology, but left the laboratory to pursue a life in the start-up scene. This gave her real-world experience on idea generation to execution and inspired her to found Humble Bee, where the last six years of research, development and proof of concept work have given Veronica unique insights into the development pathways for scientific research and the opportunities in biomimicry.
While working on Humble Bee, Veronica completed her Masters in Science Communication on the use of commercial communication strategies to reduce the research to implementation gap. Her unique skill set has been sought out by academics to help them shape value propositions and strategic storytelling around their applied research.
