TEDxChristchurch is honoured to welcome Christchurch City Council back as a returning Gold Partner for both our tenth anniversary milestone event, TEDxChristchurch 2019: Tūrangawaewae—A Place of Belonging and the largest ever New Zealand TEDxYouth event to date, TEDxYouth@Christchurch 2019.

Since the first post-quake TEDxChristchurch in 2011, we’ve been grateful to receive support and encouragement from Council. Our partnership with Christchurch City Council is a significant factor in allowing us to deliver the calibre of event our attendees have come to expect.

While we’re an apolitical organisation, we are always open to conversations, connections, and relationships that help our political leaders embrace ideas worth spreading and greatly appreciate the support from Christchurch City Council in supporting our teams to create events that allow space for important and often difficult conversations to be had.  These conversations help shape our very lives and those of the next generations who will call Ōtautahi their tūrangawaewae—their place of belonging.

We look forward to continuing this relationship into the future and supporting the Christchurch City Council in making Christchurch the vibrant city we know it to be.
